The World of Bumpkin Hill and how I created the Brand Design

It is Party time here at Bumpkin Hill as after many many months of design work I have launched my newly re-branded website.  I thought you would enjoy seeing a little glimpse into my design process.

Creating Mood Boards with images that truly make my soul smile. This was a great tip from the Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design Course

Colour inspiration from my walks. I love colour and kept being drawn to emerald greens, mustard yellows and warm peach.  You can see how I incorporated that into my design on my site.

I always get a thrill when I see wildlife on my walks, spot the Rabbit!

I love my new Dip Pen and inks, they worked really well for the sweeping lines of of the Rabbit in my logo.

Wild flowers and even the beauty of intertwined branches always pull me and my camera towards them so this logo was a joy to design.  It also reminded me of the outlines of my Embroidery Patterns.

I'm so excited to start sending out my Business Cards with orders.  I designed them, then had printed by Moo.com. Quality is always vital to me so I am thrilled with the thickness and beautiful silky smooth card and the images printed superbly.

I wish for Bumpkin Hill to be a warm and care free Home in the Country for you. A world full of nostalgic designs in Wall Art, Craft Patterns & Bespoke Party Stationery.  Come along for a cup of Tea and sit under the shade of the old Oak Tree, you may even spot some of the animals from my illustrations!

Thank you for coming along on this journey with me, your support and encouragement really does mean the world.
Hugs,
Catherine

  1. Just a quick comment - I signed up for your newsletter on your site but never received a confirming email. Just a fluke or could there be a problem? -Laurie Becker
