The brightest blue

Come with me back to a warm sunny October day on the cliffs of Dorset with the fresh sea air and the brightest blue sky reflecting in the clear sea. What a glorious day it was on this part of the coast called The Jurassic Coast due to all the pre-historic fossils that are discovered. Having a pic-nic on the beach and paddling along the shore, getting splashed as the water waved in and out! This wonderful archway stretching into the water is Durdle Door, if you look closely you can make out it's dragon like shape arching into the water having a drink! For the rest I'll let the photos do the talking!

I'm busy working on a new Artist Bear in the cuddliest golden Alpaca, so do come back soon. Hugs, Catherine x

Step into their Wonderlands

Thanks for all your kind words about my new Embroidery Pattern, so glad you love it. It has been quite a few years since I embroidered and it was such fun and relaxing to create this for you all. They have been whizzing off to new homes. I look forward to creating more in the future. After full days of listing on Etsy finally these patient friends are ready to meet you all! I have a whole new selection of Prints that are also available as Notecards and the cutest Gift Tags, all available in my Etsy Store.

Firstly these Bumpkin Friends are very proud of their Winter Wonderland, each year they love to decorate, look closely and you'll see little mouse holding a star on his favourite Toadstool, all ready to pass to Bunny to hang in the tree! Watch out for the snowballs from Squirrel! As for Hedgehog, well he got tired out before he'd even really started!

Our Winter Wonderland

Look up to the sky on a very clear night when the Stars sparkle as bright as diamonds and you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Reindeer leaping through the air with Bunny holding on tight in her Teacup!

The Flight of the Teacup

Meanwhile down in Summer Hill the Bunnies are having having more fun than they thought was even possible sledging in the first Snow of the season. They had never gone down hill so very very fast, those Teacups and Saucers make the Best sledges, although I'm not sure their Mother would agree!

Tea Time in the Snow

Back across the field the other Summer Hill Bunnies are kindly asking if their new snow friend was warm enough!

Keeping Cosy

After a long day of adventures this little family of Bunnies are nestled back in their cosy Nest! I was inspired by all the bird nests in my garden and these wonderful knitted nests by Vicki, do check out her Blog. I love Victorian family portraits so thought I'd create a Bumpkin style portrait! A nice way to celebrate your family.
Smartly written under the nest is "Our Nest", this comes as Christmas Cards & Tags with the words Merry Christmas from Our Nest, a nice way to share messages from your own family.

Our Nest

Pick N Mix Card selection, packs of 5 or 10 (buy 8 get 2 free) just choose which ones you'd like. Matching Gift Tags also available with the cutest ribbons.

Last but not least is my Bumpkin Friends 2011 Calendar. If you love Bears, lots of Bunnies, Hedgehogs, Mice, Owls and more all having the best adventures and tea parties then this one is for you. These Friends will love to spend a whole year brightening up your home.

If you made it to the end of this post then thanks for sticking with me! I said I had lots to show :) Hop on over to Etsy to meet them all and step into their wonderlands. Lots of Hugs, Catherine & all the new Bumpkin friends xx

Tea Time Stitching!

I'm just so excited to finally be able to reveal this project that I have been working on for some time behind the scenes, well in fact the idea has been floating in my head for the last year but with one thing and another I never got round to it until now, you know how it goes! So drum roll please.... Welcome to this very first Bumpkin Embroidery Pattern. It is adapted from my Friends for Tea range of Prints & Cards. You can now create your very own Bunny & Her Teacups to come to Afternoon Tea in your home. The Embroidery Pattern is available in my Etsy Store.

With Christmas on the way and Winter setting in on this side of the world I always love to have craft projects on the go, something very comforting about that, of course accompanied by a cup of tea! So I hope too that this Pattern will bring you lots of fun and cosy comfort whatever the season. Even better still it is a PDF pattern so I will send it hopping right into your email box, no shipping costs and no waiting for the post to arrive. Yipeee, let the fun begin!

A big thank you must also go out to Nicole of Follow The White Bunny for her help and encouragement, she creates the most gorgeous embroidery patterns.

I have got so many new items to share with you my head is spinning, but I felt that this Bunny and her Pattern deserved their own post so the other friends will be waiting patiently in the wings to be introduced, hopefully tomorrow. Hugs, Catherine x

Treasury Love!

I hope you've all had a good weekend? Whilst I'm here sat on the sofa, with a cup of tea and sewing lots of little bunnies and toadstool ornaments I had to just share this beautiful Etsy treasury including my Sweet Dreams Mouse Button (thanks Cyn). I am constantly thrilled to hear that one of my items has been chosen to share space with other charming pieces in these. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to create these, they never cease to thrill me. See you all back soon, Catherine x

Magical England

Here I am back in Belgium after a wonderful break back home in England.

The Autumn colours were spread out across the landscape like a paint palette. In the New Forest (Hampshire) the landscapes are dotted with charming little (and far from little) homes nestling in cosily amongst trees.

Whilst searching for a place with the wonderful name of Castle Hill we came across this walk that was dotted with the most magical toadstools in all forms. I could just imagine little mice sheltering under the wider ones like umbrellas and the fairies had obviously been busy sewing little yellow trims along the edge of this one! (click on all images to get larger views).

Upside down ones that would work a treat as little teacups!

It really was magical as we walked up and down across the heather that had turned a wonderful russet brown that glowed even on this misty morning.

By the afternoon the sun had come out and didn't go away for our whole trip! We took literally hundreds of photos so I'll be making selections to share with you all. For all those of you that love toadstools as much as I do I'm busy sewing these adorable country cottage style toadstool hanging ornaments. These are being made for an order for my wonderful stockist in the UK, Cottontails. They will be COMING SOON so to start with they'll be made in a limited number. I'll be sure to let you know when they'll be available there.

It's been all go since I got back printing orders to send out. I have my new stichy project nearly ready to share with you all, so if you fancy a craft project of your own come back soon! Hugs, Catherine x

Fluttering By

We are having some lovely Autumnal days here and the Bumble bees and butterflies are making the most of the pollen in my garden.

I'm busy packing as tomorrow we are off to England for a few days, to Hampshire and Dorset. My camera batteries are charging as I type so I'll be sharing lots of photos when I get back at the end of next week. I have got another new project almost ready to share with you but this will have to wait until I get back. If you love creating crafts and are feeling stichy then this will be for you!
My Etsy Store will remain open whilst I'm away, all orders will be sent out on the 14th October. Take care everyone and I'll look forward to catching up with you all when I get back. Hugs, Catherine xx
